Satish Dhupdale

Satish brings over 30 years of rich technology experience from diverse technologies, domains and geographies. He has been in leadership positions for over 2 decades. He has an entrepreneurial flair backed by a strong technology base which he has leveraged in setting up successful technology businesses and mentoring new age startups. Satish plays an instrumental role in enabling Light’s leadership in deploying technology for operational excellence in microfinance and leveraging technology into the new age fintech ecosystem.

As a technology leader, Satish has created world class teams from ground up, and led them through construction of products for global technology companies. He has built MVPs that establish business value as well as managed a portfolio of products across multiple lifecycles. He has built Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics driven platforms and products, SaaS solutions, highly scalable consumer facing web and mobile architectures, high performance infinitely scalable backend servers, security and storage products. He brings a extensive experience in doing this across a broad range of technology stacks, processes, and state-of- the-art tools.

As a business leader, Satish has setup cross-border, bootstrapped, technology services businesses while winning engagements from worldclass enterprise customers. He has managed technology, compliance, negotiated and structured M&A deals, negotiated and structured contracts with customers and vendors, grown the senior technology teams, mentored star technologists, created career paths and setup performance and compensation frameworks for the same.

Prior to Light Microfinance, Satish was the Chief Technology Officer at Infinite Uptime, a cloud based Internet-of-Things platform company. He was a consulting CTO at AlgoAnalytics, a company specializing in Artificial Intelligence based Image Analytics, Natural Language Processing and Speech Processing. He also Co-Founded Tremido, a first of its kind cashless OPD healthcare product. Earlier, he was the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Covelix Inc, a US based software company (later acquired by Emtec a publicly traded company). Prior to his entrepreneurial stint, including co-founding NetAce and Amdale, Satish designed and developed networking software as part of Microsoft’s first real time operating system in the Microsoft Advanced Technology group, and later for Windows 95 in Seattle, USA.

Satish received his Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Bombay and Master of Science in Computer Science Science from Pennsylvania State University, USA. He has further received Machine Learning Certification from Stanford University, USA.
